Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
This a scam asking to buy gift cards at Walmart. They sent me a check for $2460.00. I was to buy $400.00 gift cards at Walmart photograph the cards numbers & send the photos bis text message.
I deposited the check, but I searched Google before I went to purchase the cards. I found multiple reports of this scam. The check was credited to my bank account, but since I have not used the money I will not be charged for that full amount.
