Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I advertised a product on BooKo.com a website around military installations for local sales. My product was listed for $1,500 the scammer contacted me via text message, saying he wanted to buy my item and pay to have it shipped. I agreed and he sent a cashier’s check in the amount of $3,950.50. I contacted him via text informing him the check was way to much. The scammer stated that his secretary made a big mistake of including the carrier’s fee a total of $2450.50. You can go ahead to the bank and have it deposited and as soon as the carrier contacts me, I’ll let you know how to proceed. As soon as I received the cashier’s check we knew it was a scam. The check appeared real but when we contacted the bank they informed us it was in fact a fraudulent check.
