Type of a scam Employment
My daughter is a student at Univ of Tampa. She received what looked like a legit email from a professor (not one she knows personally) advertising a pet sitting job for a lady moving to the area. It directed the students to correspond with the lady from their personal email, not school email. My daughter reached out and the lady offered $350/week for 9 hours of dog sitting. Very flexible hours and they are a ‘Very kind family with wonderfully behaved dogs’. Since they would be moving from out of state, they wanted my daughter to purchase things for the dogs and house ahead of time. They would send her a cashiers check for more than her first weeks pay and she would use the excess to buy the items.
