This company decieved M e into thinking that my computer was hacked and they would provide security services for my computer. But in actuality, they were the hackers and now they have locked me out of my account and asked me to pay for them to reopen my computer with Google pay cards.

We called a local company that we found through searching the internet for “HP printer repair”. The name and address were local HP Care Center, 551 Memorial Drive, Atlanta Ga.” However, the number was toll free 800-608-2315. We called the number and the man said our printer had a virus. He talked us into giving him remote access to our laptop. We hung up once and the number he called back on was from a company called ROMRIM Services LLC. The number he called from was 844-702-3287. He told us it would be $200 to rid the computer/printer of the virus….meanwhile he still had remote access. I told my husband to hang up because it sounded very “phishy.” At this point we didn’t know the actual company he was supposedly calling from was RONRIM. After we disconnected I started searching for this company and apparently they are not legit. We didn’t send any money and so far they have not put any malware on our computer. They may try to collect the money, but they didn’t repair anything. We have already purchased a new printer. Also, we drove to the local address and could not find the supposedly local company, HP Care Center. If we had looked at the email address from which they sent the invoice, I think we would have been alerted. Hope no one else gets hit by them.
