Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received check by postal mail. Check was contained in a Priority 1 USPS envelope with a Eastpoint, Georgia postmark. The envelope has a return address of Woodland Middle School, 2745 Stone Rd, Eastpoint, GA.
Called credit union listed on the check and they said their checks were normally a different color then the check received. CU said this was a fake check. Also, I didn’t have any reason to expect a check from this credit union.
