Type of a scam Phishing

I posted an ad on Craigslist out of Fargo, ND, to sell my motorcycle. I was contacted by a "David Spencer" who said he is interested in my bike, but that he didn’t trust Carfax and wanted me to do a vehicle history on www.motorcheckvin.com. That site took me to vincheckup.com. This appears to be a ruse to phish, to get me to spend money on that site for a vehicle history report, and/or to get my credit card information.

Same thing happened to me. A Buck Schimke says he is interested and wants a VIN report. I tell hime 3 times that the bike has 250 miles on and has never been in an accident. He tells me his mechanic suggests motorcheckvin.com and he sends me a link. I dont click anything from people I don’t know, so I google it and found this page. Damn scammers.
